TASTING NOTES

Crimson color with garnet tints in the glass. The nose is open and develops subtle aromas of cooked fruit and hazelnut. The palate is suave and intense, the tannins are deep and velvety, and the whole is well-balanced, ending in a long finish.

In 2022, the climatic conditions favored a very good vintage for red wines in Saint-Émilion. A dry winter followed by cool nights in March delayed budburst, helping to mitigate the effects of April frosts. The summer heat accelerated vine growth, while June rainfall enabled the vines to withstand the ensuing drought. Harvesting began in September, yielding high-quality red grapes. The 2022 vintage of La Croix de Montlabert reveals a rich and generous attack, characteristic of Saint-Émilion’s clay-rich terroirs. The discreet presence of oak adds complexity while allowing the fruit to take center stage.
