Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "IAVA", VignaMadre
TASTING NOTES
The “IAVA” line from Vignamadre stands for structured, autochthonous estate wines and excellent food accompaniments. The red wine in the line consists of 100% Montepulciano grapes, which are primarily grown in Abruzzo and Marche. The grapes for this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grow in the province of Chieti in a southeast exposure at 350 meters above sea level. on calcareous soil. The vines are approximately 20 years old and are harvested manually in October and fermented at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures in stainless steel for six months. In the glass it is intensely ruby red with violet reflections and expressive primary aromas of ripe red fruits, currants and blueberries. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied with good acidity and a balanced structure.
