Pinot Noir, Lapis Luna

TASTING NOTES:

This Pinot Noir comes from the cooler northern California region of Mendocino on the Pauli Ranch vineyard. A cooler area that is great for lighter and more elegant Pinot Noir wines. The wine was aged for only 8 months in small wooden barrels, 10% of which were new. Red and blue berry fruit, ripe cherries, blueberries, floral notes of violets and spice dominate the nose and palate. The wine is lighter with nice tannins and attractive acidity. A very balanced wine with a long aftertaste.

Wine pairing

Excellent with roast chicken or duck on oranges. It is also ideal with light cocoa or gingerbread desserts.
