The Daisen Mizunara Cask 40% is an elegant and distinctive Japanese whisky, crafted by the Kurayoshi Distillery at the foot of Mount Daisen in Tottori Prefecture. Aged for three years in white oak casks, it benefits from a rare three-month finishing period in Mizunara casks, a Japanese oak renowned for its unique aromas of sandalwood, coconut, vanilla, and delicate spices. Pure spring water from Mount Daisen, naturally filtered by the volcanic slopes, lends exceptional finesse to the whisky.
This premium whisky, a Gold Medal winner at the 2025 World Whisky Awards, boasts a light amber hue, a woody and exotic nose, a smooth and balanced palate of vanilla, caramel, and light spices, and a lingering finish with the woody notes of Mizunara.
